Monica Renee Alley, 38, of Frelsburg, Texas, passed away on April 19, 2021 in Frelsburg, Texas. She was born on June 7, 1982 to Michael Ray Alley and Tracey Lynn Baros in Wharton, Texas. Monica worked as a cashier at HEB in Columbus. Monica enjoyed every aspect of life; from going to the river with family, to drinking around the fire after a long days work, to even laying in bed with her beloved dog Churro. She lived a very simple life but nothing was simple about her. She gave her all for everyone. Most importantly Monica enjoyed spending time with her boys and the rest of her family and friends and for her that's what made her the happiest. Monica is survived by her father Michael "Mike" Alley of Frelsburg; sons Shelton Lane Alley and wife Leanna of Wahiawa, Hawaii and Jason Cockren, Jr. of Frelsburg; sister Jennifer Alley of Frelsburg; brother Mike Alley, Jr. and wife Jessica of Frelsburg; many family members that were greatly loved; and her best friend of 18 years Lisa Allen. She was preceded in death by her mother Tracey Baros; grandmother Donna Wilbeck; grandfather Dennis Baros. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Henneke Funeral Home in Columbus, Texas and on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Frelsburg Baptist Church in Frelsburg, Texas. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Frelsburg Baptist Church in Frelsburg, Texas. Gary Henneke will be officiating. Burial will take place in Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus, Texas. Pallbearers are Dalton Oppermann, Coy Baros, John Alley "Little Bubba", Justin Kainer, David Cockren and Joey Owens.
