Eva C. Neiderer Obituary

Eva C. (Czapp) Neiderer, age 87, entered into God’s eternal care at home surrounded by family on April 18, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late Jules A. Neiderer (Reds), who passed away in 2003. Eva was born in Danzig, Germany on February 28, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Kurt F. and Elizabeth (Boike) Czapp. Eva graduated from Delone Catholic High School Class of 1954. She owned and operated Hamburger Palace & Red’s Donut Shoppe and Fifth St. Diner with husband Jules (Reds). She then went on to work for Lutheran Social Services and JC Penny for many years. Eva was a eucharistic minister for 22 years and also helped with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. She also sat on the National Council for Catholic Women, serving two terms as President. Eva is survived by her children Theresa Coleman and husband Ed of Norfolk, VA, Stephen Neiderer of Sammamish, WA, Robert Neiderer and wife Gail of Hanover, PA, Judy Whitley of Fort Worth, TX, Rose Miller and husband George of Abbottstown, PA, Norbert Neiderer and wife Connie of Plattsburgh, NY, Patrick Neiderer and wife Lori of Martinsburg, WV, and Elizabeth Eyler of Florida; her 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren. She raised two grandchildren, Melissa Neiderer of Pittsburgh, PA and Crystal Eyler. She is also survived by her siblings Norbert Czapp, Ingrid (Czapp) Luckenbaugh, and Michael Czapp. Eva was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Becky Neiderer; her grandchildren Mark Neiderer and Michelle Neiderer; and her sister-in-law Monica Czapp. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 10:00AM at Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 26 N. 3rd St. McSherrystown PA 17344. The interment will follow at the church cemetery. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 6:00-8:00PM at Murphy-Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., 501 Ridge Ave. McSherrystown PA 17344. A rosary service will be held on Thursday at 7:00PM. Due to COVID-19 guidelines and in compliance with health and public safety directives, those attending the viewing will be required to wear masks and social distance. Attendance inside the funeral home will be limited to 40 people at a time. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eva’s memory can be made to Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 26 N. 3rd St. McSherrystown PA 17344.
