Mildred Hendrix Goodson Vaughn. 78, of 226 Preston Drive, Moore, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at her home. Born August 8, 1933 in the Woods Chapel Community of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of the late Will Irby and Clara Jackson Hendrix. She was first married to the late W. E. (Jack) Goodson. Mildred was retired from State Auto Insurance Company after 40 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Survivors are her husband of 22 years of marriage, Henry Milford Vaughn; two step-sons, David Vaughn of Salley, SC and Ronnie W. Vaughn of Orangeburg, SC; two step-grandsons, Jonathan Vaughn and Ryan Vaughn; a sister, Margaret Hendrix Garrett; sister-in-law, Frances Hendrix of Greer; one nephew and three nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Wallace E. Hendrix and William Hendrix. Visitation will be 12:30-1:30 pm Monday, February 20, 2012 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Donald J. Wilton, the Rev. Robert C. Morgan, Jonathan Vaughn and Mr. Al Martin. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Greer, conducted by the Rev. Bill Adams and the Rev. Davon Harrelson.
