On April 16, 2021, Mark Bradley Alford passed away unexpectedly at his home in Colorado Springs. On August 8, 1974, Mark was born in Nassau Bay, Texas, to Carolyn Louise and Charles Knowles Alford. He married Shannon Lea Craig in Galveston, Texas, on April 15, 2006. Mark is survived by his wife, Shannon Alford of Colorado Springs, Colorado; son, Conner James Alford of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his parents, Carolyn Alford of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Charles Alford of Houston, Texas; sisters, Karen Alford of Houston, Texas, Kathy Alford of Houston, Texas, and Kristin (John) Barto of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brothers, Craig (Liz) Alford of Austin, Texas and Scott Alford of Houston, Texas; nephews, Camden (Annie) Alford of Houston, Texas, Dawson Craig of Johnston, Iowa, Michael Barto of Denver, Colorado, Cade Alford of Austin, Texas, and Reese Alford of Austin, Texas; and nieces, Kaitlyn Barto of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Maxine Alford of Austin, Texas, Eva Alford of Austin, Texas, and Riley Alford of Houston, Texas. Mark proudly served many years as a volunteer firefighter in the Houston, Texas, and Clear Lake City, Texas areas. Mark attended Clear Lake High School in Houston, Texas. Mark was a very dedicated husband and father and loved to spend time with his family. He was also a loyal friend, with many of his friendships extending from his grade school years. Mark had the incredible ability to fix nearly anything. His friendly, charismatic personality and warm, caring spirit were irresistible, and he touched so many lives. He adored Colorado snowstorms, the Houston Astros, and banana pudding. However, his greatest passion in life was his family, who will miss him more than words. Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Friday, April 23, 2021, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923. The service will be streamed live.
