Sheila "Maureen" Anderson

84, of Kimball Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on October 31, 1936, daughter of the late Lyle and Sheila (Murphy) Matheson.

She married Edward W. Anderson on June 22, 1957, in Sault Ste. Marie.

Maureen was a devoted catholic always volunteering her time to St. Stephen Catholic Church. She enjoyed music and loved the piano. Outside of her faith, she was busy tending to her vegetable gardens and canning the vegetables. Maureen loved her grandchildren and the time spent with them was most important.

She is survived by her four children, Kevin (Cindy) Anderson of Marysville, Steve (Lori) Anderson of Kimball, Joe (Linda) Anderson of Port Huron Township, and Shauna (Todd Greenia) Anderson of Kimball; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer, Kari, Rod, Chad, Sara, Shanise, Kristen, Miranda, Adam, Cassandra, and Candace; many great-grandchildren, sister, Alice Thompson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Anderson; grandson, Kevin Anderson, Jr.; and her two sisters, Eileen and Kathleen.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home-Hancock Street. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church.
