Anthony L Sasso

Anthony L. Sasso, age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021 after a long illness. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Sasso moved his family to Hazlet in 1961. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a Production Manager and Safety Coordinator for IFF in Union Beach for 35 years. Anthony proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was an avid baseball player, having pitched for the Navy team during his service and later for the IFF softball team. Always an athlete, Anthony was a certified ski instructor, a professional golf instructor, and enjoyed a good game of racquetball. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Hazlet. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Sigillo. Surviving is his beloved wife of 64 years, Loretta, his children, Anthony Sasso and his wife, Beth, Denise Snyder and her husband, Richard, and Kathryn Sasso and her fiancé, Sean O’Callahan, and his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Snyder, Matthew Snyder, and Christopher Sasso. A Memorial Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m at O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick. Cremation was private and held under the direction of O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick. To send condolences please visit www.obrienfuneralhome.
