Glenis York

<p><strong>Glenis York, age 88 of Robbins, TN passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Sevierville, TN while celebrating with family on vacation. Born in Scott County, TN on December 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Esau and Cora Patton Burchfield. She was a member of the New River Baptist Church.</strong></p> <p><strong>In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur West and Elmer York; brother, James Burchfield; sisters, Ruth Sims and husband Lenord and Reba; and brother-in-law, Mack Dixon.</strong></p> <p><strong>Glenis is survived by her sons, Randall West and wife Sandi and Wayne West; siblings, Janice Potter (Curtis), Shirley Perry (Don), Patsy Dixon, Esau Jr. (Ruth), Judy Foster (Jimmy); 8 grandchildren, Derek, Brian, Chris, Jessica, Matthew, Miranda, Bobby and Lyndsey; 9 great grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Imogene Burchfield; daughters-in-law, Venna West and Barb West; many other relatives and friends.</strong></p> <p><strong>Friends may visit with the York family on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Guy Ainsworth and Bro. David Walker officiating. Music will be provided by David and Felicia Walker.</strong></p> <p><strong>Committal service will follow in the Black Creek Crossroads Cemetery in Robbins. Pallbearers will be: Terry Hagler, Kenny Ainsworth, Wade Walker, Marshall Lloyd, Lonnie Low, and John Sexton. Honorary pallbearer will be Lyndsey West.</strong></p> <p><strong>With the Health Guidelines in place at this time, we ask that you be mindful of the social distancing measures recommended by the Centers for Disease Control. Masks are required.</strong></p> <p><strong>West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Glenis York.</strong></p>
