Bonifacio “Boni” De La Rosa, 84, of Fostoria, and passed away at 7:30 am Monday April 19, 2021 at Eden Springs Health Care Center, Green Springs. He was born May 14, 1936 in Asherton, Texas to the late Anecleto and Miverva (Zepeda) DeLaRosa. Surviving is his wife, Maria (Yebra) DeLaRosa, Fostoria; sons, Bonifacio (Beverly) DeLaRosa Jr, Fostoria and Michael Shannon DeLaRosa, Fostoria; daughters, Rose Marie (Israel) Lopez, IL, Jeanette Banks, Brenda (John) Bernal, Bertha Rumschlag, Donna (Chris) Bruce, and Diana (Donald) Hook Jr, all of Fostoria; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother, John (Linda) DeLaRosa, Fostoria; and sister, Ofelia Cardenas, Toledo. He was also preceded in death by a son, Mitchel Steven DeLaRosa; and brothers, Ismael, Pedro “Pete” and Santos DeLaRosa. Boni had worked at the former Copeland, Fostoria. He was a member of St Wendelin Catholic Church and its Guadalupe Society. He will be remembered as a strong, loving and caring dad and grandpa. Private family visitation is at HOENING FUNERAL HOME 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830 where a family rosary will be prayed. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Friday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Poggemeyer presiding. Burial will follow in St. Wendelin Cemetery.
