Obituary Raul R. Vela Jr., age 76, of Findlay, passed on at 12:19am on Monday, April 19, 2021 at St. Vincents Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 20, 1945 to the late Raul and Adela (Ramirez) Vela Sr. He married Guadalupe Davila on March 5, 1965 and she passed on August 16, 2015.He is survived by his 3 sons: Raul (Shannon) Vela III of Alvada, Ohio, Ruben Vela of Findlay and Daniel (Guadalupe) Vela of Findlay; brothers: David (Isabel) Vela and Jesse (Yolanda) Vela both of San Antonio, Texas; sisters: Diana (Joe) Duran, Amelia (Abel Moreno) Jimenez and Mary Ann Navarro all of San Antonio, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.Raul was a retired truck driver, a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed going to Ralphies and Frickers.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 West Sandusky Street, Findlay, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation at 1:00pm on Wednesday. with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will be private.
