Elizabeth Mae Gayton, age 72, of Ball Ground, passed away Sunday, April 18, 2021 at her residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Scott Holden officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Gayton will be cremated following the funeral service. Mrs. Gayton was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Cody Gayton (Amanda), Susan Dean (William), Joann Melton, Michael Flowers, Jason Reid and Beth Roberts; siblings, Andy Vaughan, Cindy Etris, Chris Vaughan and Glenn Vaughan; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
