Today we come together to celebrate the homegoing of Mary D. Moore born in Florence County on October 3, 1947. She is the daughter of the late Edmond and Mamie Abrams Grant. She departed this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. Lois as she was affectionately called was educated in Florence District one schools. Lois was a faithful member of Monumental Baptist Church until her health failed. Mary was employed by Southeastern Vending, Yopp Manufacturing, and Marlow Manufacturing. Mary enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. Mary was preceded in death in addition to her parents, her son; Chester Moore, Jr., grandson; Master Tyree Donovan Holt. Mary leaves to cherish her precious memories, daughters; Diane (Angela) Moore and Carol Speights, granddaughters; Catrina (Marcus) Holt, Angela (Jay), Anthony (Leslie) Moore, and Demetrius (Sakila) Moore, one grandson; Marquel “Tony” (Leonatoya) Moore, nine great grands, a special niece she raised as a daughter; Mona Lisa Grant, two special lifetime friends; Emma Jean Smalls and Jackie Hennegan and a host of other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
