Sherri E. Harris Obituary

HARRIS, Sherri E. 11/23/1972 – 4/16/2021 My Story… I made my grand entrance into this world on November 23rd 1972 (yes, that was Thanksgiving Day.) I was supposed to be here on November 21st, but that’s my Grandpa’s birthday and I loved him enough to give him is own day. Plus, why not wait until a very special day while everyone is gathering anyway. For genealogy purposes, I was born to Carolyn J. Minick and Bobby D. Hadden, Sr. For real life purposes, I was born to Carolyn J. Minick and Bobbie Brown (my granny). I had a great life. Oldest grandchild, and oldest sibling of the family. I had a protective and loving brother, Bobby Hadden Jr (Bear) and the woman who has become my best friend, Danielle Washington Barbee. I graduated from Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, CO in 1991 and graduated from Colorado Technical University in 1996 with two Bachelors of Science degrees. One in logistics and the other in Systems Management. I married my King, Steven Eric Harris (my big heartbeat), on June 22, 1996 in Colorado Springs, CO and moved to Omaha, NE. Through this union, I gained my sister-in-love, Tenecia M. Harris. I parented three fun babies. Buddy “Love” Harris, Montgomery “Brewster’s Millions” Harris, and Bandit “The Baby” Harris. Better known as the Beagle Boys. The absolute best blessings in my life came when I gave birth in 2001 to the most amazing girl, Sydnee Elise Harris (my middle heartbeat), and to the loving and kind double-prophet, Samuel Elijah Harris (my little heartbeat), in 2009. My most enjoyable times were always spending time with my big Colorado family and traveling to different places with my husband and children. In addition to those listed above, I leave to celebrate my life my grandparents, George and Theresa Minick of Houston, TX, my parents-in-love Leonard and Carolyn Williams, brother-in-love Deon Barbee, my nieces and nephews Asyria, Alizah, Azarian and Amir Barbee, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family. I have joined my parents-in-love, Maurice (Poppie) and Marcelite (Mimi) Harris. They are with me and holding me though this journey. God has truly blessed me in every way imaginable and I am so blessed for the amazing journey God had given me! Visitation: Friday, April 23, 2021 from 5-7:00pm at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel) Celebration of Sherri’s Life: Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 1:00pm at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel).
