Connie Renea (Stanley) Avery, was born November 21, 1957, to Henry Otis and Margaret Pearl (Majors) Stanley, in Huntsville, Alabama, and passed away April 12, 2021, in Providence, Rhode Island. She was 63 years, 4 months, and 22 days of age. Renea married John Delbert Avery, Jr. on September 15, 1979, in Huntsville, Alabama. Three daughters were born to this union: Callie, Malina, and Rachelle. They moved their family from Huntsville, Alabama to Mountain Grove, Missouri for John’s job opportunity at the fruit experiment station. Renea worked at Wal-Mart for many years where she made some life-long friends. Later, she attended nursing school where she earned her RN license and worked as a nurse for a few short years before having a car accident. Renea enjoyed gardening and painting in her early years. She loved to travel and was always going to visit her girls and grandchildren as often as she could. She also had the joy of teaching her oldest granddaughter, Ellie, to sew. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Avery, her parents, Henry Otis and Margaret Stanley, two grandsons, Andrew Michael and Matthew Bryan, one brother, Carlos Stanley, and two sisters, Sheila and Lisa. She is survived by three daughters, Callie Avery-Jarrett and her husband, Heath, of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Malina Jordan and her husband, Blake, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Rachelle Martie and her husband, Jeff, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, seven grandchildren, Ellie and Gracie Jordan, Roland, Lucas, and Maggie Martie, and John Henry and Asa Avery-Jarrett, one sister, Cynthia Stanley-Blackburn and other extended family and friends who will miss her.
