David B. Underwood, Sr. went to be with Jesus on April 9, 2021 at Sandy Ridge Care Center. David was born in Springfield, GA on June 29, 1935 to Bishop Robert David Underwood and Mother Albertha Michael Underwood. He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Susan Moran Underwood. David is survived by his wife of 23 years, Florencia Underwood; son, David (Tanya) Underwood; daughter, Tanya (Michael) Heard; five grandchildren: Christopher Underwood, Victoria Underwood, Donimique Hannah, De’anna Heard and Michael Heard; three great-grandchildren: Anitra Underwood, Gabriel Hannah and Elizabeth Hannah; seven brothers and four sisters; stepdaughter, Florencia Lemos; step grandchildren: Christine Stowes, Rachel Lemos and Carol Lemos; and step great-grandchild, Haven Stowes. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm with the service to follow at 2:30 pm, held at Trahan Family Funeral Home of Milton. Interment to follow at Serenity Gardens Cemetery. From His Wife Florencia: David was a wonderful man and husband. He always was calling checking on me. We had a wonderful marriage. He would send me flowers and would always make sure that I had everything I needed. He would have the house clean and a meal ready when I’d get home from work. He was a very neat and tidy person. He always wanted us to match our outfits to go to church. He was always funny and laughed a lot and loved to joke around. He knew his Bible and would always share things with me from the Word and correct me if I misunderstood any verses. One highlight was when we went to Israel with Pastor Rogers, we had such a wonderful time. I miss him so much and will always remember him until I see him again in Heaven.
