James Henry Potts

<p>James Henry Potts, 43, of Statesville, taken too soon, went to fly high with the angels, April 9, 2021. He was born on October 4, 1977 to Joe Van Potts and Carolyn Potts in Iredell County.</p> <p>James is preceded by his father, Joe Van Potts, and father-in-law, Fred Owen.</p> <p>James graduated from North Iredell High School, met his wonderful wife Tomeka, and had two beautiful children, Jessica and Jacob. He was a member of Tabor Presbyterian Church in Olin, NC, and loved his family, working on cars, riding four wheelers, fishing, hunting, and shooting skeet.</p> <p>Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 25 wonderful years, Tomeka Potts of Statesville, daughter, Jessica Potts of Harmony, son, Jacob Potts of Statesville, mother, Carolyn Potts of Statesville, mother-in-law, Gwen Owen, of Statesville, brother, Donald Potts of Statesville, sisters, Brenda Davis (Dwight) of Harmony, Barbara Trent (Earl) of Harmony, grandchild, Spencer Isla Potts of Harmony, nephew, Ryan, nieces, Lucille, Christy, and Joanna.</p> <p>The family will hold a visitation at Tabor Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a Memorial service starting at 12:00 PM. Grant Sharpe will be officiating.</p> <p>James will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.</p> <p>Davie Funeral Service is proud to be serving the Potts family.</p>

I remember taking him to the creek on butler mill rd when he was small. I was like a little mom to him. I really enjoyed my brother and he was my friend. Love and miss you James. Rest In Peace until we meet again.
