James Wesley Curry (Jim)

 

On April 9, 2021 Jim passed away peacefully in his home. Jim was born July 7, 1958 in Danville, IL to Miss Velma Curry. When Jim was a small boy his mother passed leaving him and his older brother John to be raised by their grandmother Ruby Curry. 

 

Jim was a simple man. He enjoyed being outdoors, riding motorcycles, dune buggy’s, fixing old cars or gardening. A fresh tomato on a hot summer day was his favorite. Jim was great with his hands. He was very artistic, and could build just about anything including making small furniture out of beer cans and doing sheet metal work. Jim was a movie buff. He always liked to have a good laugh. Most will remember him by his sarcastic and witty charm. 

 

He is survived by his children Wesley James Curry, Lisa Alexandria Curry and Jessica Ann Hall. His grandchildren Sophia Curry, Julian Reed and Aubriella Reed, several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Velma Curry, Grandparents John and Ruby Curry, Fiancé Elizabeth Lucas, Brother John Curry, nephews Jeremy and Johnnie Curry and niece Shonna Curry.

 

A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, April 16th 2021 at Sarges Tap in Danville from 1pm to 5pm. Everyone is welcome!
