McEvoy Patrick James McEvoy (Age 86) On Friday, April 9, 2021, Pat McEvoy of Potomac, MD, passed away peacefully. He was the beloved husband of Helena B. McEvoy; father of Kathleen Kyne, Patrick J McEvoy, Jr. (Susan), Mary Anne McEvoy, Julie Eyerman (Ken), Sharon Gupta (Anuj); grandfather of Colleen MacPherson (Chris Townsend), Meghan Leonard (Andrew), Molly Eyerman, Brendan Eyerman, Dylan Eyerman, Connor McEvoy, Tim Ruff, Kelly McEvoy, and Brigid Ruff. He attended Cardinal Hayes High School, Bronx, New York, and graduated from Fordham University. He was a Senior Partner at Grant Thornton, LLP, for most of his professional career. Upon retirement, he was a part-time agent at Crowley Real Estate in Bethany Beach, DE. He was a member of Christ the King Parish. He enjoyed the beach, golf, his Irish and New York roots, and a good joke. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family, especially his nine grandchildren. A viewing will be held at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring, MD, on Wednesday, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2301 Colston Dr., Silver Spring, MD 20910 on Thursday, April 15, at 11 am. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
