Graveside services and interment for Erma Jewell Bowman, 83 of Cookeville were held Wednesday, April 14 at 11 AM at Crest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends gathered at the cemetery, there was no visitation at the funeral home. Bro. Mike Dyer officiated. Mrs. Bowman died Saturday, April 10, 2021 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born October 19, 1937 in Putnam County to the late Ponie Hobson and Clennie Stout Carter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Estel Bowman, who died December 24, 2004. She was a retired deli cook at Spring Street Market in Cookeville. She formerly worked at Red Kap of Cookeville and Doyle Shirt Factory. Jewell enjoyed ceramics, gardening and working in her flowers. Survivors include sons, Joe David Bowman and Jeffrey Dale Bowman both of Cookeville, sister, Helen Null of Michigan. Due to COVID-19, social distancing measures were in place.
