Myong Sook Griwatsch

<p>Of Parma, MI passed away on Friday, April 9, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health at the age of 86. Myong was the daughter of Jae Bok and Yea Jun (Kim) Han, born December 8, 1934 in Pyongyang, North Korea. She is survived by three children; Pauline Vernon, Carolyn McIvor (Wendall Cole), and Janette (Robert) Harris; sister, Myong Hwa Won; grandchildren, Lynette Schwertfeger (Victor Calzadilla), Erich Schwertfeger, Matthew (Emily) Schwertfeger, Katie Vernon, Brian (Heidi) Martin, Andrew (Chelsea) McIvor, Ben (Samantha) Harris, Jack (Brittney) Harris, Patrick Harris (Megan Chown), and Sam Harris; and 22 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. &nbsp;Myong was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Griwatsch; her parents, and sister, Soon Uie Han. Her main focus was her family, and was always willing to share her past experiences. She wished she could go back to Korea one more time, but was not able, instead she enjoyed doing all the babies 1st Korean birthday parties. She enjoyed road trips, Vegas, and just going to casinos. Her favorite saying was &ldquo;let&rsquo;s go out to eat.&rdquo; A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 12:00pm with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children&rsquo;s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.</p> <p>The family receive friends at the Watson Funeral Chapel in Jackson on Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 4:00-8:00pm and at the church on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 11:00am until the time of service at 12:00pm.</p> <p>Please express your condolences to the family at www.watson-funeral-chapels.com .</p>
