ROCKVILLE-Chad Cottrell, 59, of Rockville, Indiana passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was Parts and Sales Manager for Mower Zone in Danville retiring September of 2019 due to his health. He was also an educator for the Putnamville Correctional Facility teaching, Agriculture, Diesel Mechanics and Welding with 23 years of service. He was born August 5, 1961 in Terre Haute, Indiana to Earl Paul “E.P.” Cottrell and Lois Nevins Cottrell. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Stacy Lewis Cottrell whom he married September 25, 2003 in Rockville; also surviving his mother Lois Cottrell Meyer of Rockville; daughter, Shannon Cottrell of Lebanon; brother, Brad Cottrell of Rockville; two sister,s Paula (Jim) Brown of Avon and J.J. Heerdink of Tennessee; three nephews, Wesley Cottrell, Trent Brown and Tyler Heerdink. He was a 1979 graduate of Rockville High School. He was a member of the Rockville Christian Church. He showed Horses on a national level across the United States and on a world level as well. Services with casual boots and jeans attire will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, April 13, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard Street, Rockville, with the Rev. Greg Robbins officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery in Rockville. Visitation is from 4-8 pm Monday at Gooch Funeral Home. Memorials should friends so desire, may be made to Appaloosa Youth Association, 2720 W. Pullman Road, Moscow, Idaho 83843 in his memory. Online condolences may be shared at www.goochfuneralhome.com.
