Rayford Alton Bowden, age 83, a resident of De Queen, Arkansas, died Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home. He was born January 30, 1938 in Owassa, Alabama. He was a CPA and plant manager at Pilgrims Pride. He was active in the Salvation Army and was a member of Gideons international and a member of 1st Assembly of God Church in De Queen were he helped establish the Royal Rangers. Alton was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Fay Spence Bowden; his first wife, Lela Dozier Bowden; one sister and brother-in-law, Melba and Billy Wells; one brother, Howard Bowden and one grandson, Zachary Bowden. He is survived by his wife, Linda Bell Bowden; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Kristin Bowden of Hot Springs, Johnny and Sheri Hall of De Queen, one daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Huey Gees of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one brother, Jerry Bowden of Ohio; seven grandchildren, Brett, Jessica, Cheyenne Hall, Ryan and wife Ashlee, Aaron, Joshua Bowden and Landon Thweatt and a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 16, 2021 at the funeral home. A graveside memorial service for Mr. Bowden will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Old Piney Cemetery with Ron Drye and Ryan Bowden officiating.
