Larry Joe Stilger

Larry Joe Stilger, 83, died Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home in Lanesville, Indiana. He was born April 1, 1938 in Lanesville, Indiana to Louis Adam and Beatrice Rosa Kochert Stilger. He was an Assembly Worker for Navistar, formerly International Harvester in Louisville, was a Navy Veteran and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Irene Lamon Stilger, his parents, and brothers, Roger and Ronald “Butch” Stilger. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Ursula) of Batesville, Arkansas, Daniel (Margie) of Georgetown, Indiana, Matthew (Nancy) of Noblesville, Indiana; daughter, Julie Anne (Trent) Willoughby of Corydon, Indiana, grandchildren, Jade, Blake, Sophia Stilger, Madison, Emilee Hubbard, Gabriel, Emori Stilger, Mary Childress, Taylor, Jarrett, and Briana Willoughby; and a brother, Darrell “Jim” (Peggy) Stilger of Crandall, Indiana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville, Indiana. Father Robert St. Martin will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be Monday beginning at 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:30 PM, at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning before the service from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM.
