Ray Anthony Alphin, known as Tony to most, passed away Friday morning, April 9, 2021, at his home in the Seven Springs area. Tony had been employed with Red Hill Distributors. Surviving him are his wife, Janice Cripps Alphin; four daughters, Melissa Harrison and husband, Joey, of La Grange, Sherry Cooper and husband, Ryan, of La Grange, Valerie Raynor and husband, Michael of Pikeville, and Vanessa Alphin of Goldsboro; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Also special to Tony was his dog, Gypsy. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Yancey "Yank" and Senora Lee Alphin; sisters, Suzanne Carter and Rose Williams; and brothers, Roger, Dennis, and Tommy Alphin. The family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 13, beginning at 1 p.m. with funeral services following at 2 p.m.. Officiating will be the Rev. Larry Williams. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
