BANGOR-Constance H. Brown, 94, formerly of Pittsfield, died peacefully on April 8, 2021, at her home in Bangor. She enjoyed living and being surrounded by her many friends at Solstice Senior Living. Connie was born on June 6, 1926, in Belfast, Maine, the daughter of the late Manley and Winnefred (Laxon) Bunker. She worked for Church Goods for 16 years, graduated nursing school in 1972, and owned and operated Ensign Boarding Home in Hartland for many years. Her religion had always been a big part of her life and she enjoyed tole painting. She was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Smith and husband Kevin of Pittsfield; 4 stepchildren: Madeline Anderson of Dover-Foxcroft, Joanne Whitney of Newport, Ramona Patterson of Abbott, and James (Skip) Nelson and wife Elise of Newport; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Earl Nelson and Ronello Brown; son, Barry Bickford; 2 stepchildren: Ruth Leavitt and Earl Nelson II; and her sister, Marilyn Cianchette.
