Andra’s Journey... Andra Lamont Waters, a resident of Snow Hill, Maryland, passed from this earthly life into eternal rest at the age of fifty-nine (59) on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his place of residence. As he transitioned from earth to glory, Andra was surrounded by his loving family. The son of Winfield Douglas, Jr. and Charlotte Waters, he was born in Snow Hill, Maryland on December 23, 1961. Following the death of his parents, “Aunie”, as he was affectionately known, continued to be raised and nurtured by his paternal grandparents, Winfield and Beatrice Douglas, and his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Waters until their passing. Andra was educated in the Worcester County public school system, graduating in the Class of 1979. He had a love of model cars and preparing delicious meals. He followed his love of cooking to a career in the culinary arts. Employed by Deer’s Head Hospital until his retirement in 2011, Aunie he was gainfully employed after his retirement by Harrison House Nursing Home in Snow Hill, Maryland. During his youth, Aunie attended Shiloh United Methodist Church in Pocomoke, Maryland with his father’s family. Left to cherish precious memories are: his stepmother, Joyce Taylor of Henderson, NC.; great aunts, Delores Donohue of Salisbury, MD, Violet (James) Purnell of Snow Hill, MD and Brenett Waters, also of Snow Hill, MD; aunts, Barbara (Renza) Finney of Pocomoke City, MD, Wilsie Waters of Philadelphia, PA, Sandra Coston of Salisbury, MD and Dorothy Waters of Snow Hill, MD; his siblings, Edwin Douglas of Henderson, NC, Ivan (Vonnie) Douglas, also of Henderson, NC, Kimberly (David) Scott of Salisbury, MD, Sabrina (Andre) Griffin of Parksley, VA and a host of other relatives and friends. Andra also leaves to cherish his memory, his long-time companion, Sandy Linton of Pocomoke City, MD and special friends, Orlando Blake, Terry Milbourne and Mickey Waters. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles and a host of other family members. SORROWFULLY SUBMITTED ~ THE FAMILY
