<p>My beloved mother, Josephine Lowery, has been reunited in Heaven with her loving husband Virgil and daughter Patricia. Jo passed away peacefully at home on April 9, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born in Blaine, ME on September 21, 1933 to Benjamin and Phoebe Hardgrove. She met and married Virgil, the love of her life, in 1953 and they had a happy and fulfilling life together for 59 years prior to his passing in 2012. She and Virgil had two daughters and she devoted herself to raising them and supporting his military service for 20 years, traveling throughout the United States as well as France, England and Okinawa. Panama City became their home in 1969. Jo was a strong, kind, loving woman who always put her family first. She enjoyed interior decorating, finding treasures and spending time with friends and family. Jo will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter and son in law Cheryl and Matt Cooper of Panama City, brother in law Ned Lowery of Jemison, AL, sisters in law Ethel Lowery of Clanton, AL and Edie Hardgrove of El Paso, TX, her loving niece Brenda Doody of Fresno, CA as well as numerous other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Virgil, daughter Patricia, sisters Clara and Landy, brothers Robert, Benjamin, Bert, Wallace and George. Per her request there will be a private family only graveside service.</p>
