<p style="text-align: justify;">Richard &ldquo;Dickie&rdquo; Meeks, 75, of Hamburg, died Thursday, April 8, 2021, in Sherwood.&nbsp; Mr. Meeks was a native and lifelong resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg and a 1963 graduate of Fountain Hill High School. He was a Diesel Mechanic for the Georgia-Pacific Corporation, having retired in 2005. Mr. Meeks was a member of the Mount Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church.&nbsp; In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, working in his yard, fishing, hunting and was a member of the Meeks Hunting Club.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe &amp; Macel Campbell Meeks; a brother, Larry K. Meeks and an infant brother, Bobby Joe Meeks.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Spurlock Meeks of Hamburg; four sons, Rickie Meeks and wife, Sonya, of Hot Springs Village, Tony Meeks and wife, Lizzie, of Crossett, Sean Spencer and wife, Melody, of West Monroe, Louisiana and Filo Estrada and wife, Sally, of Benton; two brothers, Eddie Meeks and wife, Helen, of Crossett and Joe Allen Meeks and wife, Cindy, of Raleigh, North Carolina; two sisters, Sheliah Meeks Crain and Terrie Meeks Tadlock, both of Hamburg; 13 grandchildren, Brandon Meeks, Justin McDougald, Cason Meeks, Tyler Meeks, Bryson Meeks, Rayne Axton, Shelby Spencer, Melanie Spencer, Allyson Byrnes, Ashlyn Byrnes, Noah Estrada, Abram Estrada and Reuben Estrada and one great-granddaughter, Haven Owen and a host of nieces and nephews.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2021, at the Mount Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating. Burial will be in the Egypt Cemetery.&nbsp; Pallbearers are Mark Moffatt, Wendell Moffatt, Doug Hudson, Chad Moffatt, Jeff Meeks and Wayne Cruce.&nbsp; Honorary pallbearers are William Moffatt, Paul Wilkerson, David Evans, Willard Procell, James Meeks,&nbsp;Bruce Stafford and&nbsp;Richard Blackwell. &nbsp;Memorials may be made to St. Jude&rsquo;s, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN&nbsp; 38105.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.</p>

Richard “Dickie” Meeks, 75, of Hamburg, died Thursday, April 8, 2021, in Sherwood.  Mr. Meeks was a native and lifelong resident of the Milo Community outside of Hamburg and a 1963 graduate of Fountain Hill High School. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2021, at the Mount Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating.
