George Cann Corona Obituary

George Corona, 72, of Cameron, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday, April 12, 2021 at St. Monica’s Catholic Church with Rev. Barry Cuba officiating. Burial will follow in the Hernandez Cemetery. Rosary will be recited 6:00 pm Sunday at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home. Mr. Corona was born August 12, 1948 in Cameron to Guadalupe and Pauline (Cantu) Corona. He married Adela Vargas. He had worked at Memphis Compress in Memphis, Texas then Style Homes in Cameron before working at Santa Fe Railroad. He was preceded in death by a brother, Juan Corona. He is survived by: Wife Adela Corona of Cameron Daughters Irma Lopez and husband Rogers of Taylor Lucinda Morales and husband Tomas of Harker Heights Veronica Corona of Corpus Christi Laura Corona of Cameron Brothers Damon Corona of Cameron Guadalupe Corona of Cameron David Corona of Academy Sister Lucy Corona Lansford of Cameron 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren
