Ruby Lillie Gay Dyal

Ruby Lillie (Gay) Dyal 86, of Winter Garden Florida, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 9th, 2021. She was born March 20th, 1935 in Alma Georgia. Her parents were Burl and Leila (Green) Gay. Ruby was preceded in death by Earl, her husband of 70 years on November 17th 2020. Presently, Ruby is survived by her children Linda Watson (Jim deceased) of Leesburg Florida, Leonard Dyal of Glen St Mary's Florida, Johnny Dyal (Leigh Ann) of Windermere Florida and Janice Lemons (Danny) of Eustis Florida. She also has 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Joseph Gay, Cecil Gay, Archie Gay, her sisters Lois Towns, and Nellie Sue Murphy. Ruby married and left home at the age of 15. Miss Ruby did not finish school until she returned in the '80s to get her GED. She scored at the top of her class and graduated. She also decided to attend International Seminary Bible School in Apopka and graduated with a Minister's degree. Ruby and Earl lived in Fisherman's Paradise in Apopka for 8 years before moving to their present home in Winter Garden where they raised their children. Besides being a homemaker with 4 children, Ruby went to work outside the home at Plymouth Fruit Packing Company, Frito-Lay, General Electric, and then packed fruit in Winter Garden where she met many good friends. She was always very involved in her children's activities. Ruby never missed their sporting events, modeling and field trips. Ruby was raised in a Christian home, having church on their property in a Brush Arbor. Her father would minister and Ruby and Earl would sing and play the guitar. Ruby always had a passion for working in her yard, she took such pride in having at least one of every plant mentioned in the Bible. Of course, her greatest joy was having the grandchildren come over of so many ages, especially at Christmas and Easter. Every year, including 2020 their Winter Garden home had a star on the roof at Christmas and the nativity scene displayed in their front yard. Ruby was living at Solaris Health Care, Lake Bennett for the last year. Recently, her health had improved greatly and she was doing well. She contacted as many old friends as possible, encouraging people, praying for others and wanting to make sure her heart was right with everyone. She was constantly telling her children and grands how much she loved and appreciated them. Her last days were truly precious, as she finally was able to see us face to face. Now she has seen Jesus face to face She will truly be missed. Ruby's arrangements are in the caring guidance of Winter Oak Funeral Home and Cremations, 1132 E. Plant St. Winter Garden, FL 34787
