NEW BEDFORD-Natalie (Sylvia) Cunha, 89, of New Bedford, died Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the widow of Richard Cunha and daughter of the late Antone and Sophie (Souza) Sylvia. Born in New Bedford, she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Cunha was employed in housekeeping at Taber Street Nursing Home and also in private housekeeping and childcare until her retirement. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially at the holidays when she would cook for everyone. Mrs. Cunha was a member of American Legion, Post 1 where she assisted with making poppies as a fundraiser for veterans. She enjoyed singing and dancing. Her family includes her 3 sons, Kenneth St. Clair and his wife, Sharon of New Bedford, Charles St. Clair and his wife, Diane of Dartmouth and Richard Cunha, Jr. of New Bedford; her daughter, Annette Cunha and her fiancé, Frank Bozzuto of Tennessee; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Dias and several siblings. Her service will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:30 A.M. Visitation prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Interment in Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at stjude.org.
