Virginia Nash, 67, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away at her home, surrounded by her family, Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
Virginia was born in Philadelphia, PA, July 13, 1953, to Henry Douglas and Anna Marie (Matiak) Ziegler. She grew up and attended school in Philadelphia, graduating high school in 1971. To this day, Virginia still has family living in Pennsylvania.
Virginia was united in marriage to Gary Nash on July 26, 1995, in St. Louis, MO. They made their home in St. Louis, MO, from 1995 up until six years ago, when they moved to Florida. They came back to Missouri this past year in order to be close to family.
Virginia had received a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietary Management and was employed in the industry all of her working life. First, at Marriot, then, at My Place, Tower Grove and Bethesda, which were all in the St. Louis area. Virginia enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking. She was known for her ability to cook up a delicious meal for a large crowd at a moments notice. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Gary Nash, of Sullivan, MO; three children: Teresa Franks of Fenton, MO, Lauren Doll of Jefferson County, MO, and Laurence Kreps II and wife, Caroline, of Eureka, MO; a special grandson, Barry Hooper and wife, Ariel, of Sullivan, MO; eighteen grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Cheryl Ziegler of Vale, OR; brother-in-law, John Tisdale of Festus, MO; and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna Ziegler; one brother, Henry “Butch” Ziegler; and one sister, Susan Tisdale.
Cremation arrangements have taken place. There will be no services at this time.
