David Lee Springer, 73, of Oakboro, passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.

David was born April 1, 1948 in Stanly County to the late John Davis Springer and Bessie Mae Tucker Springer.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral service to celebrate his life will follow at 4:00 pm in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel.

David was easy-going and easy to please. He loved music, especially bluegrass, and enjoyed watching old westerns.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Judie Ann Thomas Springer of the home; sons, Lloyd Springer of Oakboro, Wayne Springer of Midland, Tony (Kristi) Springer of Oakboro, Phillip (Amy) Springer of Oakboro; daughter, Joyce (TJ) Owens of Ashboro; sister, Jo Ann Springer of Albemarle; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
