Mrs. Gloria A. “Sue” (Barnhart) White, 79, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Wednesday evening, April 7, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. Born August 24, 1941 in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late William G. and Alice N. (Alter) Barnhart. Mrs. White was a graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School with the Class of 1959. She and her husband, the late Jack R. White, were married on March 18, 1961. Mr. White died on October 28, 1997. Mrs. White was a homemaker most of her life, however she did work as a waitress at The Antrim House, Hagerstown, MD, for several years. She was an animal lover, who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and gardening. In her younger years, she enjoyed roller staking, as her grandparents ran Cold Spring Park. She is survived by two daughters, Lorie L. White and Suzee C. Cline-White and her wife, Christa, both of Waynesboro. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, W. Wyatt White on September 26, 2014. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, with Pastor Dale Carver officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services, Tuesday morning, in the funeral home.
