Jerome “Jerry” Coelho, age 63 of North Dighton, passed away on April 7, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Coelho was born in Boston, the son of the late Joseph and Jean (Brady) Coelho.

Before retiring, Mr. Coelho was employed with the Massachusetts Dept. of Corrections as an industrial instructor for over 32 years. Jerome served his country with the Army National Guard with the Military Police Unit for over 30 years. He also volunteered in 2010 for active duty and spent one year in Iraq/Kuwait. He was also a reserve Police Officer with the Dighton Police Dept for many years.

  Jerry was a kind and loving person who always helped others no matter what. He was a dedicated son, brother, uncle, great- uncle and friend. He was a  man of few words, but his presence was always felt.

He is survived by his twin sister Jean Lahousse and her husband Bruce  and a brother James Coelho and his wife Laurie both of North Dighton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousin’s and many dear friends.  Jerome was also the brother of the late Joseph Coelho, Jon Coelho and the late Joan Coelho.

Mr. Coelho’s funeral will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary’s Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Nicholas of Myra Church Spring Street, North Dighton. Interment with military honors will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 11th from 2 to 5 pm in the Silva Funeral Home.

Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.

During all services, facial coverings and social distancing will be required.
