Larry Lee Carter

Larry Lee Carter, 80, of Lafayette, passed away at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette 12:18 AM Wednesday April 7, 2021. He was born in Lafayette February 20, 1941, the son of the late Lawrence Edward and Myrtle (Jameson) Carter, Larry was a 1959 graduate of Oxford High School and received both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Computer Science from Indiana State University. He taught at Oxford High School, Marian College in Indianapolis, Ancilla College in Plymouth, St. Joseph College in Rensselaer and did private tutoring for Purdue University. Larry enjoyed playing golf with his brothers every weekend possible for 49 years. He was a fan of the Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Colts, and Chicago White Sox and enjoyed watching them on television. One of his favorite places to eat was Joe’s Pancake House. Surviving are two brothers, Steven Carter of Lafayette and James Carter of West Lafayette. Also surviving is a niece, Amy Lyons and two nephews, Dustin K. and Nathan T. Carter. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Carter. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Oxford, IN from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM Monday April 12, Larry McMillan officiating.
