Daniel Davis, 73, of La Porte, passed away peacefully at 7:08 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Northwest Health, La Porte. He was born December 16, 1947, in La Porte to James and Lila (Brown) Davis. Daniel was employed with Huber’s Marina, La Porte. He was a truck driver for several years and was employed at Fays Marina, LaPorte for 25 years. He enjoyed playing cards, truck driving, shooting pool, and bowling. Daniel was a former member of the Eagles, F.O.E, and the Moose Lodge, all of La Porte. Surviving are his two sons, Jeff (Amanda) Davis of LaPorte and Bryce Davis of La Porte; one daughter, Jessica Davis of LaPorte; one sister, Judy Measles of Michigan City; one brother, James (Jane) Davis of LaPorte; five grandchildren, Zach, Bobby Young, Jacob, Addison, and Ashton Davis; former wife, Judy Davis – McPherson of LaPorte; and several nieces and nephews. Proceeding in death were his sister, Linda Wilcox; and parents, James and Lila Davis. Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, 247 W.
