Jordan Michael Armstrong Obituary

Jordan Michael Armstrong, age 30, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021. Jordan was born February 24, 1991 in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Jordan was born supercharged with energy and already looking for an adventure. From early on it was clear that fear would never hold him back. At just 3 years old, he would climb the highest diving board and jump, even though he had no idea how to swim. He never slowed down because he always wanted to make sure he was part of everything and never miss a moment. At the age of 12, he asked Jesus to be his Lord and Savior at Cooperstown Bible Camp and was proud to share the news with anyone that would listen. As a teenager, Jordan was stalked by many lovestruck girls and had to have his big sister run interference. He loved playing sports and was competitive in anything he did, whether in sports or a good old fashioned board game. Jordan was committed to serve the Lord by serving others. He went on many World Changers mission trips focused on building communities in inner-cities through service and labor, including repairing roofs, painting houses or building ramps and sheds. At the age of 18, on his last World Changers trip, Jordan met the love of his life on a roof of all places. He went to change the world and an older woman changed his world for the better. Even as an adult, Jordan was always ready to help anyone in need. Jordan’s twenties were focused on loving his wife and children. He enjoyed all genres of music, playing videogames with his brothers, watching/playing sports, sending funny videos to his siblings and friends, and spending time with those he loved. He cherished making memories with his wife and children. He had an innate ability to befriend everyone he met, to always look at the positive side of things and consume large quantities of food at one setting. Tragically, Jordan was taken from this earth and family, but without a doubt, he is in God’s presence at this very moment. Jordan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Yvonne Carlson, his first best friend, Jeremiah the wiener dog and a multitude of game controllers. He is survived by his wife, Amy Armstrong; children, Malachi Jude (4 years old), Magnolia Jane (2 years old), and Milo Jensen (7 months old); mother; Robin Dyer (Mike); sister, Jessica Keating (Ryan); brothers, Nicholas Hedgecock, Elliott Brandt (Katie Jo), and Roman Hedgecock; stepfather, Kurt Hedgecock (Jaye); father and mother-in-law, Johnny and Jeanette Huckaby; and sisters-in-law, Audrey Hopper (Travis) and Ashley Damron (Jason); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., Sunday, April 11, 2021, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM at Porter Loring Mortuary North. FUNERAL SERVICE SUNDAY, APRIL 11, 2021 1:00 PM PORTER LORING NORTH CHAPEL 2102 NORTH LOOP 1604 EAST Brother Bob Hobbins will officiate. Interment will follow in Shiner Cemetery, Shiner, Texas at 4:00 PM. Flowers are most appreciated but if desired, in lieu of flowers, college funds have been set up for the children at gift.my529.org.
