Obituary
Cheryl Anne Howard, 59, of Fredericksburg passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. Cheri was born in Newport News on June 21, 1961 to Donald B. and Judith A. Ogburn.
Cheri was independent and strong, fierce when she needed to be (and sometimes when she didn’t need to be) and she could be stubborn; but she had a witty, kind, and loving heart that she reserved for those she cared for. She lived her life in Virginia, Ohio, and Texas, but settled down in West Virginia and worked as a Veterinary Technician at Animal Medical Center of Frederick County for more than 15 years. Cheri loved her family, loved the outdoors, and loved her fur babies.
Throughout her life, Cheri was surrounded by a variety of animals including parrots, macaws, snakes, and lizards, but always and most importantly, her dogs. From Winchester’s Rebel (aka Chester) to Tasker Road to Misty-Moo and Bella-Boo (and many in between), Cheri’s affinity for dogs was special and their love and devotion to her was obvious.
She is survived by her two sons, Aharon A. Anschutz and Christopher M. Weekes (Anicia); her father, Donald B. Ogburn; siblings D. Keith Ogburn (Kim), Michele D. Deerfield, and Julie A. White (Billy); three grandchildren Nautica Potts, Cadence Weekes, and Aiden Weekes; and nieces and nephews Kristina Ogburn, Tucker Ogburn-Moreau, Taylor White, and Julianne White.
