George Morgan Lehman

George Morgan Lehman (Morgan), 82, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021. Son of the late George and Marie (Cunningham) Lehman, he was born on April 28th, 1938. He was an incredibly loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Morgan married the love of his life, Kathleen Loftus, on Saturday, June 30th, 1962. He will be greatly missed by his six children: Bob (Gail), Dan (Linda), Kathleen (Mark Stern), Mike (Christi), Bill (Tricia Sanders), Marilyn (Tony Mikell) and 14 grandchildren Tara, Brendan, Kyle, Colin, Sean, Amanda, Colleen, Matthew, Michael, Patrick, Drew, Arann, Nikolas, and Scarlett. Predeceased by his parents, George and Marie Lehman (nee Cunningham) and sister, Margaret (Jack) Healy. Survived by his sister, Dorothy (John) Fox. Morgan graduated from St. Leo High School and Marquette University. He was active in the community and served for 30 years on the School Board of District 126 and more than 40 years as an usher and head usher at St. Linus Parish. He coached his sons for many years in Oak Lawn baseball and YMCA basketball. Morgan was an avid Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan and a regular participant in the local dart league. In his life, Morgan was most proud of his family. Morgan and Kathy could often be found jitterbugging their way around the dance floor, attracting a crowd when ever they danced.  He was friendly with everyone he met and always ready with a joke. Morgan was an avid stamp collector and has a huge collection, that no one knows what to do with.  He also assembled an impressive collection of VHS tapes which will be archived at the Smithsonian. Morgan also had a great many tools, none of which he knew how to use. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and his estranged dog Riley. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021 at St. Linus Catholic Church, 10300 S. Lawler Ave, Oak Lawn. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Chicago Catholic Charities and Lutheran Child &amp; Family Services.
