<p>Ronald A. Margerison 93 of Warwick, Rhode Island&nbsp;was surrounded by family when he passed away on April 6, 2021. Born July 11, 1927&nbsp;in New Bedford, Massachusetts,&nbsp;Ron graduated from Roger Williams College and worked as a kitchen designer for Kenney Products. After moving to Wisconsin with his family, he continued kitchen design for Connor Forest Industries and eventually returned to Rhode Island to work as a nursing home administrator. Ron was the loving husband of the late Dorothy (Wilkinson) Margerison and the father of four daughters Nancy Spencer of Fairbanks, Alaska, Kathy Margerison, Elizabeth VanAmersfoort and Lynn Medeiros of Rhode Island, their husbands, nine&nbsp;grandchildren and eight&nbsp;great grandchildren. An avid golfer, Ron was a Past President, member and life honorary member of Metacomet Country Club, and a Past President of the Rhode Island Golf Association. He was at once the oldest person to qualify for the Rhode Island Amateur by shooting his age of 78. Visitation will be held on Sunday April 11th&nbsp;from 3:00-6:00pm in The Butterfield Chapel 500 Pontiac Avenue Cranston. A Celebration of Life Service with Military Honors will take place on Monday April 12th at 10:00am in the funeral home.&nbsp; Burial will be private in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.</p> <p>&nbsp;In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Button Hole Golf, buttonhole.org or the Alzheimer&rsquo;s Association of Rhode Island, act.alz.org</p>
