Gilberta Lucille Harper

<p>Gilberta Lucille Harper, 95, of Odon, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Parkview Christian Care in Odon. She was born on December 11, 1925 in Charleston, Missouri to Gilbert and Helen (Bechtel) Clagg. Lucille married her loving husband, Floyd E. Harper, on December 8, 1942.</p> <p>Lucille was a member of Shepard&rsquo;s Chapel. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her joy in life was taking care of her home and family. Lucille liked playing Euchre, Bingo and going to yard sales.</p> <p>Family left to cherish the memory of Lucille include: two sons Virgil (Wanda) Harper of Loogootee and Dennis (Kaye) Harper of Paxton, IL; three daughters, Patricia (Jim) Ziegler of Effingham, IL, Carolyn Sue (Jim) Clay of Ft. Wayne and Gaylynn (Oliver B.) Arvin of Shelburn; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.</p> <p>Lucille was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband of 67 years, Floyd Harper; one great-grandson, Gavin Harper; brothers, Homer Pembleton, Charles Pembleton, Clarence Clagg, Bill Clagg and Richard Hanners.</p> <p>A graveside&nbsp;service will be held on May 1, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Kilgore Cemetery in Raglesville, IN.</p> <p>The Harper family has entrusted all arrangements to the Meng Family Funeral Home in Odon.
