Dorothea Corbett McIntyre

Dorothea C. McIntyre, 93, died after a long illness on April 5, 2021. She was born June 7, 1927 in Minooka, PA. As a Bethesda resident for 56 years, she was an active congregant and choir member at St. Jane de Chantal Parish. As a graduate of Corcoran Art School, she produced fashion illustrations professionally. Watercolor painting was her avocation. She made a home with her daughter, Marie McNamara (Dan) in Silver Spring for the past 4 ½ years. She is also survived by her children: Aileen Raulin (Dennis), Don McIntyre (Suzanne), and Chris McIntyre (Tracy) as well as, sister, Rita Jeffers (Ray),brother, William Corbett (Lassie), 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. In addition, she leaves behind a large, extended family and numerous former neighbors and artist friends. A graveside, family service be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will take place in June. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Montgomery Hospice, Community Options, Inc., So Others Might Eat or a charity of your choice.
