Edith May Eckert, 91, passed on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021.

Edith was born on May 2, 1929 in Buffalo, WY. Her father, Charles Brown was a cowboy and her mother, Lucy (Potts) Brown, was a seamstress. Edith was the 7th of 9 children, 7 boys and 2 girls. The family moved to a farm/ranch north of Cut Bank which is primarily where she grew up. Edith graduated from   High School in 1948 and went on to nursing school in Havre. She graduated with a Registered Nursing degree in 1952.

 Edith married Roy W. Dennis on April 20, 1953 in Havre. They made their home in Govenlock, Saskatchewan, Canada. Roy was a farmer and Edith was a farm wife and stay-at-home mom. Edith and Roy had 6 children, Fred of Medicine Hat, AB, Lloyd of Lethbridge, AB, Gale of Edmonton, AB, Lois of Comox, BC, Darryl of Lethbridge, AB and Wesley of Medicine Hat, AB. They would move on to a farm near Tilley, AB. Edith and Roy divorced in 1972. She worked off and on as a RN for approximately 20 years. Edith worked at the Senior Citizen Center and PMC Extended Care Facility.

 Edith married Stacey Eckert in Cut Bank. Stacey worked for the highway ca Stacey died from heart related complications in September 1996.

 Edith enjoyed coloring in adult coloring books and camping. She made teddy bears to give away.  Edith was a member of the Baptist church, Baptist Ladies Group, and VFW. She was very proud of being an American and Montanan

 Edith is survived by her children; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

 The family would like to thank the PMC staff for the compassionate care Edith received.
