Brian Baumbach Obituary

Brian Baumbach, on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021, Brother-in-Christ, Best Friend, Love and Joy, and Husband of Mark Rosania, passed away due to an automobile accident. He is now seated at God’s Heavenly banquet. I know it is customary to include his various accomplishments during his short life of 51 years. Most include employment/career/education. However, Brian’s greatest accomplishment was his incredible love for God, me, for his family, his church family and the many others he came to know during his life. He was nonjudgmental and firmly lived his faith. His gratitude for everything and everyone was amazing; both the good things that happened in his life as well as the bad.

The fruits of his faith were abundant, and he was always willing to share of himself with others. He loved worshiping and serving his church, Metropolitan Community Church of the Lehigh Valley (MCCLV). He had the gift of hospitality and always made others feel part of God’s family. Everyone was his brother and sister and he always recognized them as such. His service at MCCLV was varied. He used his talents designing and installing a safety exit for the Children’s Program located in the church’s basement. He hung two large-screen TVs to help others see the video portion of the Worship Service. He freely and gladly gave of his financial resources to MCCLV and loved to attend the Wednesday Night Bible Study. He worked on the audio portion of the Worship Service so that everyone could hear the various microphones used in the service. However, his greatest joy was being an usher welcoming everyone that entered the sanctuary. He boldly and lovingly welcomed the newcomers, and he would encourage them to share in the meal that directly proceeded the service. His smile was genuine and infectious. His hugs were desired by everyone and he was always being told he gave the best hugs!

He was a skilled artisan and had many diverse interests. He was a professional welder for the Carpenters Union in Philadelphia. He loved to build a variety of the larger construction projects though out the Lehigh Valley as well as in Philadelphia. He was adept at all aspects of construction including framing, all aspects of roofing, all things electric, masonry, reading all kinds of blueprints, painting, wall boarding & spackling. He was also a talented designer of projects around our home. He created a beautiful staircase, upgraded our electric service, installed a variety of household appliances, pointed the basement laundry area, created a beautiful deck and a huge picnic table. These are among just a few things he did to improve his home and his sanctuary. He loved teaching me to be a safe helper on his projects and was a very patient teacher. He had taken great pride in redesigning the interior of our home after a fire it sustained in 2014.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service and Celebration of His Life on Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in Metropolitan Community Church, 1401 Greenview Dr., Bethlehem (Share space with Church of the Manger). The service will also be live-streamed via the Metropolitian Community Church of the Lehigh Valley Facebook page and on JAMES FUNERAL HOME website at www.jamesfuneralhome.org (click on Brian's page, then on Pictures and Video tab from the menu and then click on "Webcasting"). All glory and honor to God for the gift of the resurrection and eternal life.
