Curtis Adrian Mark Pritts

Curtis Adrian Mark Pritts, 63, of Cumberland, MD, passed away Monday, April 5, 2021, at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital, Cumberland. Born March 6, 1958, in Oakland, MD, he was the son of Barbara Louise (Filsinger) Pritts, and the late Ralph Elbert Pritts, Jr. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Pritts III and Jonathan Pritts. Curtis was a talented musician who could play any instrument he came across. He was happiest when singing and making music. His performances of everything from bluegrass to the cello will be deeply missed by family and friends alike. Curtis played with the Smooth Valley Rollers, Muddy Creek Mission, and Altagrass Bands. He worked at Ralph Pritts & Sons and owned Art’s Cab’s. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three brothers, Philip Pritts and wife, Sylvia, Oakland; Christopher Pritts, Dearborn, MI; Matthew Pritts and wife, Jane, Roanoke, VA; three nieces and two nephews. At Curtis’s request, he will be cremated. A Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date for Curtis. In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions to the Garrett County Humane Society, Oakland Avenue, Mountain Lake Park, MD 21550.
