Glenn O. Strohecker

Glenn O. Strohecker, 88, of New Castle, passed away the afternoon of April 4, 2021 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born April 20, 1932 in New Castle, he was the son of Charles Oliver Strohecker and Mae (McKim) Strohecker. He was preceded in death on September 2, 2010 by his wife of 53 years, Margery J. (Rohrer) Strohecker, whom he married October 19, 1956. Glenn was a graduate of Mt. Jackson High School and served his country in the US Marine Corps as a staff sergeant during the Korean Conflict. In earlier years, Glenn was a door-to-door salesman for 16 years with Nickles Bakery until gaining employment with Rockwell International as a finish grinder until his retirement. He was of Presbyterian faith. He is survived by two sons, Mark A. Strohecker and David G. Strohecker of New Castle; one sister, Dorothy Myers McDougall of Delanco, NJ; and various nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Russell and David Strohecker. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 9, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Rich Shira officiating. He will be laid to rest in Bethel Cemetery in Enon Valley, PA. Online condolences may be offered at www.cunninghamfh.com
