Richard “Dick” Walter Siegel May 4, 1934 – April 4, 2021. Richard passed away at his home at the age of 86 in Vancouver WA. Richard was born in Portland, Oregon to Otto and Ethel Siegel. Richard attended school at Good Hope elementary, Battle Ground elementary, Lincoln elementary, Shumway Jr High then graduated from Vancouver High School in 1952. The day after graduating Richard starting working at Alcoa in the pot room for several months. Richard enlisted into the United States Marine Corps during the Korean war from September 15, 1952-September 14, 1955. Richard earned the rank of Sergeant. After serving in the military he moved to California and attended night school and graduated with a AA degree in Business Administration. Richard served several yearly terms as Vice President and President of Data Processing Management Association of the San Fernando Valley Area of Los Angeles. In 1972 Richard relocated back to the Vancouver area and went to work for Fred Myers working his way up to Vice President of Corporate Data Processing. After retiring from Fred Myers in 1989 Richard purchased two Minit-Mart stores here in Vancouver. After selling the Minit-Mart stores, Richard worked for the Convenience Group LLC. Richard was the Director of Marketing until his final retirement. Richard also volunteered for the city of Vancouver. Richard was elected President of the 14 Neighborhood Associations comprising the city of Vancouver and Clark County. Richard attended church at the Columbia Christian Church in Vancouver. Richard siblings were Dorothy Olson, Marvel Rilling, and Gary Siegel. Richard had been married to Beverly Nolte (divorced 1982) then Joan Hickenbottom (divorced 1996). Richard is survived by his two daughters and a step-son - Michele Sullivan (Steven) and Julie Stanley (Mark Autry-fiance) Scott (Melissa). Grandchildren - Benjamin Sullivan (Krista), Erin Sullivan (Brett Curl-fiance), Madison Sullivan, Christopher Stanley (Tobi), Sarah Stanley and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Dorothy and Marvel. Richard's service will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 10:30 on Saturday April 17th.
