Ida Belle Gray, 86, lifelong area resident, died Saturday, April 3, 2021 in Pinecrest Manor, Mt. Morris. Born December 11, 1934 in White Rock Township, Ogle County, the daughter of Merritt M. and Alice (Canfield) Gray. Ida Belle graduated 8th grade from Kings School, from Stillman Valley High School in 1953 and Illinois Wesleyan University in 1958. She taught school for some years in Wheaton, IL. She was a lifelong member of Chana United Methodist Church. Predeceased by her parents and sister, Emma Brooks. Survived by her sister, Mabel Gray of Chana; nephew, Stephen Brooks of Lansing, MI; and other area relatives and friends. Graveside Services will be at 11:00am Wednesday, April 7 in White Rock Cemetery, Kings with Pastor David Rogula presiding. No visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ida Belle’s name may be made to Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon or The Pinecrest Community, Mt. Morris.
