William Vernon Keeling, 80, passed away on April 4, 2021 at home in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born July 18, 1940 in Topeka, Kansas to Henry and Mary Mallory Keeling.

William grew up in Topeka, Kansas.  He graduated from Topeka High in 1963.  After high school, he joined the Army.

William began work for Denny’s as Head Chef where he worked for twenty-five years.  He retired in 2013.

William married Stephanie Washington in 2000 in Kansas City, Missouri.  They were happily married for twenty-one years.

William enjoyed sports, wrestling and people watching.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Mary L. Keeling, brother, Henry M. Keeling.

William is survived by his wife, Stephanie, of Kansas City, Missouri; children, Vernon K. Clark (10 children), Bobby Keeling (2 children), Tammy and Angelo Brunt (4 children), Loretta and Dennis Keeling (1 child), James and Brianne Keeling (1 child), Shanese Rabon (2 children), Craig Harris (4 children), Monique Rabon (6 children); sister, Billie J. Stephens; sister-in-law, Trudi Keeling; a host of over thirty grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held  Wednesday, April 14, 2021, 7:00pm at Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 6:00pm-7:00pm at the chapel Service conducted by Lawrence A. Jones & Sons Funeral Chapel. Condolences may be shared on our website.
