Joseph Howard Pete III was born in Houston, Texas on November 2, 1951 to Joseph Howard Pete, Jr. and Bettye Connor Pete; his father preceded him in death.
Joseph’s early education was at Saint Nichlos Catholic School in Houston, Texas. Moving to New York after graduation, he entered Julia Richmond High School and matriculated at Brooklyn Law School. He worked ten years at Roberto Clemente State Park as a New York State Trooper, 3 years for New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission. He was later in life to become a Professional Photographer.
In 1979, he met and married Patricia Littles of Newark, New Jersey. No children were born to this union. She preceded him in death.
Joseph was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Sidney, New York.
Joseph leaves to cherish his life his beloved mother, Bettye Pete (New York City); daughter, Tenise Pete; son-in-law, Tyrone Isabell (Unadilla, New York); five grandchildren: Krystina Pete (Bronx, New York), Ian Windley (Yonkers, New York); Cierra, Joshua and Josiah Isabell all of Unadilla, New York; two great grandchildren, Kyian and Kamryn Pete of Bronx, New York; two sisters, Sandra Pete and Debra Barnes Davis; five aunts: Martha Duhon (Unadilla, New York), Barbara Connor (New York City), Bettie Mooney (Houston, Texas), Helena Pete (Houston, Texas) and Susan Pete; dear friend, Robin James of Brooklyn, New York; his Unadilla family: Veronica Schaffer, Charlie Wilsey and Linda Dickerson; business partner, Mel Wright and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
